Mononucleosis and Epstein-Barr Virus treatment with plant enzymes

Mononucleosis and Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) treatment with plant enzymes by Dr. Jenefer Huntoon, Naturopathic Physician, Seattle, WA www.DrHuntoon.com

Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is the virus that causes the condition called Mononucleosis. Viruses typically do not respond well to treatment with drugs because viruses hide inside the cells, and drugs are not able to get into the cells to kill the virus. People with EBV often suffer for many years with Chronic Fatigue with little help from medical treatments.

We use high potency plant enzymes to “starve out” the virus. Enzyme treatment involves using a product high in lipase, the fat digesting enzyme. Lipase allows the cell walls to open up, so the virus can come out of the cells and into the blood stream. High potency protease, the protein digesting enzyme, is then used to digest the virus in the blood stream. Botanical remedies with antiviral properties help to strengthen the immune system so the immune system can attack the virus.

It is also important that the patient eat a natural foods diet free of sugar including honey, fruit juice, dried fruit, etc. A high sugar or high glycemic index diet feeds the Candida Yeast that naturally resides in the intestinal tract. When Candida Yeast levels increase due to excess sugar, this places an extra burden on the immune system. The overworked immune system is then unable to keep bacteria and viruses under control.

Many people suffering from EBV and other viruses have been helped with this high potency enzyme treatment. Other viral conditions also respond to this treatment. Protease enzymes help build the immune system by digesting unwanted bacteria, viruses, yeast and fungi in the blood. People undergoing the enzyme approach to EBV can expect slow but steady progress.
